Interview Q&A
How long have you been in business?
Since 1996
What is your primary product or service?
Wings of Hope serves as an advocate for at-risk youth in Central Florida. We work to close the funding gap left by dwindling government programs, and strive to provide the opportunities for these children to grow into healthy, confident, self-sufficient adults. In addition we are committed to assisting young adults who "age out" of the foster care system when they turn 18-21 by defraying some of the costs they incur related to their education -- books, tutoring, uniforms, tools, fees, etc.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Wings was created in memory of my son Brian who died from injuries he received in a car accident when he was 19 years old. Brian had a heart for children in need and often brought them home to see if they could stay with us. We wanted to continue Brian's compassionate spirit and do so through Wings of Hope.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We give 100% of all funds raised directly to help the children because all work is done through the volunteer efforts of family and friends. No compensation is given to any officers or workers. Operating expenses are covered by special donations.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We operate out of our home
What type of payments do you accept?
We accept all forms of cash donations -- cash, checks, credit cards. Donations can be directed to current needs and programs or in honor or memory of a friend or family member.
Which areas do you service?
Central Florida - Orange, Osceola, Seminole, Volusia

What is the best compliment anyone can give you?
You made a difference
What is your favorite quote or Bible verse?
God is able to make every grace abundant to you, so that in all things, always having all you need, you many have an abundance of every good work. 2 Corinthians 9:8
